Have used an I.C.E. (in-circuit emulator) and 'burned' EPROMs in the firmware and operating system development process. Keen ability to quickly comprehend complex technical reference documentation. Special aptitude for problem solving with clean, simple solutions. Have a broad and varied background upon which to make decisions and base solutions. Have recently developed an HTTP/1.1 compliant proxy server (AdCruncher Proxy), a hardware Real Time Clock (RTC) monitoring utility (ClockMon), a GUI interface to a mainframe hardware emulator (HercGUI) and a Channel-to-Channel Adapter to Windows TCP/IP stack interface for the Hercules emulator (CTCI-W32).

Assembler, C, C++, REXX, HTTP, HTML. Have utilized object oriented programming methodology in the development of a PowerPC Assembler Workbench software product, thus becoming proficient in C++ as well as the MPC601/603/604 instruction set and architecture itself.

Well versed with all aspects of operating system theory. Adept in microprocessor assembler (MC68XXX, MPC6XX) and board level technical functional specifications, including Texas Instruments NuBus system bus protocol. Proficient in DOS/VSE internals, CICS, VSAM, VOLLIE/VOICE, CMS, REXX, VM/SP system administration and internals. Familiar with OS/MVS JECL. Support Engineer for Visual C++ under Windows 95 & NT 4.0. Am familiar with HTTP Internet protocol (having recently developed an HTTP/1.1 compliant proxy server, called AdCruncher Proxy) and so obviously know a little bit about developing web pages using HTML. Have also written programs that communicate directly to hardware (ClockMon), and am in the process of (re-)writing a Windows Ethernet device driver to replace the one CTCI-W32 is currently using.

Keeping up with Visual C++/MFC/SDK skills and picking up some new ones by developing an HTTP/1.1 compliant proxy server (AdCruncher Proxy), as well as a GUI interface to a mainframe emulator (HercGUI) and helping out with Hercules open source development too. Also developed, as a direct result of issues personally experienced during this development effort, a hardware Real Time Clock (RTC) monitoring program (ClockMon), and for fun, developed a set of APIs and DLLs that allows the Hercules emulator to send/receive TCP/IP packets directly to a Windows network card (CTCI-W32).

Contracted as a support engineer in the technical support division of Redmond Washington based Microsoft Corporation. Duties included answering support calls from premier customers and routing them to the proper support engineer team, as well as accepting and resolving program development issues for said customers in the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) area of their Visual C++ product running on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 operating system platforms.

Originally contracted as a 'C' programmer to complete development and debugging of an inhouse developed remote report accessing product running under Windows.Upon successful completion of said product, I was moved into the mainframe programming area, where I helped maintain assembler and COBOL applications for their Mortgage Loan, Deposits, and Electronic Banking Services area of their business. The applications were of both the batch and online variety, and most (but not all) were written in assembler. My initial task was to convert an extensive collection of V.O.I.C.E. procedures from one release of the language to the next. I also designed, developed and implemented a much improved CICS/VSAM based inhouse source control system and assisted the systems programming department's efforts converting from VSE/SP to VSE/ESA.

Development of a proprietary cross-assembler (system independent) software product using Microsoft Visual C++. This software product (The Power PC Development Workbench) consists of a context sensitive source editor with an integrated assembler and linker, and a powerful assembler language macro facility. Debugged several MFC functions and figured out how to use the DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) facility.

Developed, installed and maintained proprietary TENIX operating system based on IBM DOS/VSE. Enhanced overall system functionality, usability and reliability by assisting in the development of a conditional Job Control Language and Disk Space Manager features, composing many new system call routines (SVCs), IPL bootstrap enhancements, and microcode fixes. Assisted in bisynchronous and asynchronous communications controller enhancements. Designed microprocessor based operating system and completed hardware level programming development of same. Received several commendations from the president himself and the company's prestigious "Best System Programmer" award.

Promoted to System Support supervisor after mastering operation of large IBM mainframe system with lowest malfunction rate of any shift ever. Transferred to applications programming staff responsible for maintaining critical updating software for national online credit reporting system. Managed DB department for one year.
